Our Story

How it all started...

Just 41 years after Arkansas became a  state, Brush Creek Baptist Church (originally named Wager Mill) was organized in 1877.  Brush Creek is one of the oldest churches still actively worshipping in this beautiful state. Our history runs deep just like our love for spreading the gospel.  Being almost 150 years old doesn't slow us down; our faithful members have hearts to grow and expand way into the future.

Expanding the vision...

Since its inception in 1877 as Wager Mills the church has gone through more than 1 transformation in leadership and structure. Through each transformation God has continued to be faithful to us as we worship Him.  Our vision to reach our community for Christ continues to today.

Where we are headed...

In 2027 Brush Creek will be 150 years old.  Vision 150 is our plan for the next 5 years and comes out of Revelation 5:9. Our heart is to raise up the next generation of the Holy Priesthood of God to go out into a dark world rescuing people out of darkness and connecting them with Jesus both in our local context and globally by planting churches until Every Tribe, Every Language, Every People, and Every Nation hear and respond to the Gospel.
